Show remaining number of submissions of select field

Hi,

I used this solution: https://gist.github.com/adczk/06f24899b1512e24f4757d7296591bdf from this thread: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/show-remaining-number-of-submissions-of-select-field/ and it works fine, but I can’t find a solution to display the number remaining until the limit is reached in the select field instead of below it.
