Including Custom Shortcodes in Email Notifications

Hi,

I’ve created a custom shortcode and would like to embed the shortcode in an email notification once the form has been submitted. I’ve done this but the email that i receive is displaying the shortcode and not what i’ve programmed the shortcode to return. Is it possible to use shortcodes in notification emails?
